6. Set the zero adjustment at the regulator:
a. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, rotate the zero adjustment as
needed until air comes steadily out of the regulator.
b. Rotate the zero adjustment in the opposite direction just until air no
longer comes out of the regulator.
7. Insert the 60-LB pressure gauge and T fitting between the regulator and
tube # 96.
8. At the Diagnostics Menu, select Change Counter and enter a value of
2048 for counter 57, Pad Conditioning Control.
9. At the regulator, set the span adjustment:
GOAL: The span should be adjusted such that the gauge reads within
+/- 1 pound of 60 pounds.
Using a small screwdriver, rotate the span adjustment as needed to
meet the goal.
10. When the goal has been met, reset the value of counter 57, Pad
Conditioning Control to 0.
11. Remove the gauge.
12. Reconnect tube # 96 to the regulator.
C. ESTABLISH THE DEAD WEIGHT OF THE CONDITIONING
DEVICE
Note: Establishing the dead weight is not required if the dead weight of the
conditioning device currently in use has previously been determined.
1. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Cond Arm Up/Dn and
choose Up to raise the arm.
2. Remove the conditioning device by rotating the twist release.
3. Weigh the conditioning device on a scale and record the weight.
Example: Conditioning Device Weight = 1.5 lbs
