8. At the Diagnostics menu, select View Counters and enter 53 to display
Pad Condition Feedback.
9. Open the right front service door.
10. Locate the inline amplifier mounted at the front of the machine cabinet
inside the right front service door.
11. Using a flat blade screwdriver, remove the screw covering the zero
adjustment, located at the left side of the amplifier, by rotating it
counterclockwise.
Note: It may be necessary to remove the connector to do this.
12. Set the zero adjustment:
GOAL:
The zero adjustment should be rotated until the value
displayed on the computer screen for counter 53 reads within
+/- 5 counts of 2048.
Using a small screwdriver, rotate the zero adjustment as needed to
meet the goal.
13. Disassemble the load cell carrier, removing the large plate in order to
use the bottom section for force measurement:
a. Place the load cell carrier on a workbench large plate down.
b. Using a 5/32-in. hex key, remove the three socket head bolts by
rotating them counterclockwise.
c. Lift off the small load cell plate and load cell.
d. Set the large plate aside (it will not be used).
14. Place the small plate and load cell on the table under the conditioning
arm quill with the button-side of the load cell up.
15. Place the Sensotec indicator nearby and attach the indicators connector
to the load cell.
16. Turn the indicator ON and allow a five-minute warmup.
Note: If needed, rezero the indicator.
17. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Cond Arm Move and
choose Park to move it to the park position.
