E. CALIBRATE THE SCALE FACTOR
1. Calculate the correction factor:
CORRECTION = Actual Force Value______
FACTOR Display Force Value - DEAD WEIGHT
Example: CORRECTION = 35______
FACTOR 35.5 - 2.16
CORRECTION = 35_
FACTOR 33.34
CORRECTION = 1.04979
FACTOR
CORRECTION = 1.050 (round to three decimal
FACTOR places)
2. At the Calibration/Configuration Menu, select Page Down to display
variable 72, Conditioning force scale factor.
Example: 1.2
3. Calculate the new calibration value for the scale factor:
NEW = CORRECTION FACTOR x Present Scale Factor
CALIBRATION (from above) (from screen)
VALUE
Example: NEW VALUE = 1.050 x 1.2
NEW VALUE = 1.26
NEW VALUE = 1.26 (rounded to three
decimal places)
4. Set the value for the variable 72, Conditioning force scale factor, to
1.26.
5. Test the new calibration by repeating the test procedure found in Section
D., above.
When the calibration meets the goal, go on to When a Satisfactory
Adjustment Is Achieved, below.
