39 Spindles down hard
value
Nominal value: 1600
Sets the pressure, expressed in control counter "counts" that will
be applied to both spindles when being moved down onto single
table machine load stations. This value is determined
experimentally by entering values into counters 12 and 13 in the
Diagnostics Menu with the spindles over cleaning stations and
observing the resulting spindle forces. The force must
counteract the up force of the load chucks and is therefore
related to the load chuck regulator settings. A force in the range
of 75 to 100 lbs is typically required.
48 Spindles down extra
soft value
Second table option
Nominal value: 1100
Sets the pressure, expressed in control counter "counts" that will
be applied to both spindles when being moved down onto the
load stations in a two table machine. This value is determined
experimentally by entering values into counters 12 and 13 in the
Diagnostics Menu with the spindles over the load stations and
observing the resulting spindle forces. The force must reliably
lower the spindles onto the load stations without applying undue
force to the stations. A small force of 10 lbs should be
sufficient. If using self centering load stations, it may be
necessary to use a higher force to cause the centering action.
Note: The procedures shown below for calibration variables 38, 39, and 48 need
be performed only for the LEFT spindle. It is not necessary to repeat the
procedures for the right spindle.

Turn Machine Power On and Perform Home Sequence Routine
Following procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual, power up the machine and perform the home sequence
routine.
