Marking Out Carport Position

In Ground Footing

Place stakes at carport post locations, tie string lines for alignment, and dig holes for posts.

On Concrete Footing

Check concrete slab dimensions, mark post positions, and ensure alignment for on-concrete installations.

Assembling the Framework

Pre-Drill Holes

Pre-drill holes in C-Section beams and SHS posts for perimeter beams, and in intermediate beams/purlins.

Posts

Stand posts in footing locations and brace them securely with clamps and struts.

Perimeter Beams

Bolt perimeter beams to posts using M12 bolts and washers, ensuring they are on the inside/outside face of posts.

Intermediate Beams and Purlins

Attach angle brackets to intermediate beams and purlins, then drill and bolt them to adjoining beams.

Footings

In Ground Footing

Concrete the footings and allow them to cure, finishing raised towards the column for water runoff.

On Concrete Footing
