Releasing the button and repeating the process allows for cycling through the different beam options. To switch between output modes within a given beam type (e.g., low, medium, high for spot), users simply push the button within 1.5 seconds of the last button push. If more than two seconds pass between button pushes, the next press will turn the light off, preventing accidental mode changes and conserving battery.
