Maintenance:
Your STRIDER will perform best when kept clean,
lubricated, and serviced regularly. How much of
your STRIDER's service and maintenance you can
do yourself depends on your level of skill and
experience.
Some bike service and repair tasks require special
knowledge and tools. Do not begin any
adjustments or service on your bike if you have
doubt about your ability. Unauthorized or incorrect
service and repairs may void product warranty.
Cleaning:
Mud and dust can be highly abrasive.
Regular cleaning will help keep your
STRIDER in good condition. After washing,
always dry your STRIDER to prevent rust.
Wipe off any excess lubricant.
Inspect / Tighten:
Ensure all bolts, nuts, and quick-clamps
are secure. Hand tighten Quick-Clamps.
Use 14 mm wrench for wheel nuts. Do not
over tighten!
Clean rims and check that they are not
cracked or broken.
Check frame alignment and inspect all the
tubes for dents or damage.
Inspect overall condition of bike and
replace worn components as necessary.
Lubrication:
Lubrication reduces friction and helps protect
against rust.
Use paste lubricant (or Vaseline) on the headset
bushings (A).
(Front and rear wheel bearings are sealed and do
not need lubricant. )
