ETHYLENE
Some fruits and vegetaMes wHH produce
ethyJene, a gas that initiates the ripening
process. EthyJene can cause premature
ripening in some foods, while in others, it can
actuaJJy cause damage.
To reduce unnecessary spoilage of your
produce, do not store ethyJene producing fruits
and vegetabJes with those that are sensitive to
