NOTE
Before installing a child restraint sys-
tem, ask the manufacturer of the sys-
tem to confirm that it is one approved
for your vehicle.
Child restraint upper anchor-
ages
Your vehicle is provided with three child
restraint upper anchorages so that the
child restraint system can be installed at
any desired position on the rear seat.
When installing a child restraint system
with an upper anchorage strap, proceed
according to the following procedures,
and always follow the instructions provid-
ed by the child restraint system manufac-
turer.
Since an upper anchorage strap can pro-
vide additional stability by offering another
connection between a child restraint sys-
tem and the vehicle, use an upper anchor-
age strap whenever one is required or
available.

1) For left seat
2) For center seat
3) For right seat
When you install a child restraint
system, follow the manufacturer’s
instructions supplied with it. After
installing the child restraint system,
check to ensure that it is held se-
curely in position. If it is not held
tight and secure, the danger of your
child suffering personal injury in the
event of an accident may be in-
creased.
Child restraint anchorages are de-
signed to withstand only those
loads imposed by correctly fitted
child restraints. Under no circum-
stances are they to be used for adult
seatbelts, harnesses, or for attach-
ing other items or equipment to the
vehicle.
