      If your Sundyne Water Pump has insufficient total head, several factors could be responsible. The flow might be too high or too low, so check the total head and flow rate against the performance curve, and increase through-flow rate or bypass part of pump discharge to supply tank if the flow is too low. Ensure the driver shaft rotation direction matches the arrow on the pump casing, noting that the impeller and driver rotate in the same direction. Also, the NPSH might be lower than required, so refer to the solutions listed under “No flow, no pressure at start-up”. For high flow models (313/333/343/348), excess clearance at the impeller face could be the issue, requiring disassembly and a clearance check.

      If your Sundyne Water Pump shows no flow or pressure at start-up, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the pump is completely filled with liquid; bleed any vapor or air from port 6 and allow more cool-down time if pumping low-temperature fluid. Also, check the suction line for air leaks if the suction pressure is lower than atmospheric. It's also possible that the NPSH is actually lower than the requirement, in this case, check for a blocked suction line, excessive pressure drop through suction piping, vapor pockets in the suction line, low suction tank level or pressure, or entrained air in the fluid.
