Air Supply Requirements
Toolsoperateonawiderangeofairpressures.Werecommendthatairpressuremeasures90psigatthetoolwiththetriggerfullydepressedand
noloadappliedtothetool.Lowpressure(lessthan90psig/6.2bar)reducesthespeedandperformanceofallairtools.Highpressure(over115
psig/8.0bar)exceedstheratedcapacityofthetool,whichwillshortentoollifeandmaycreateahazardouscondition.
Alwaysuseclean,dryair.Dust,corrosivefumes,and/orwaterintheairlinewillcausedamagetothetool.Drainwaterfromairlineandcompressor
priortorunningtool.Cleantheairinletfilterscreenweekly.Theairinletusedforconnectingtheairsupplyhasstandard1/4"NPTAmericanThread.
Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensateforunusuallylongairhoses(over25feet).Minimumhosediametershouldbe3/8"I.D.Fittings
should have the same inside dimensions and should be tightly secured.
Ensure an accessible emergency shut off valve has been installed in the air supply line and make others aware of its location.
Alwaysturnofftheairsupply,drainhoseofairpressureanddetachtoolfromairsupplybeforeinstalling,removingoradjustinganypartoraccessory
on this tool, or before performing any maintenance on this tool.
Lubrication
Lubricatetheairmotordailywithhighqualityairtooloil.Ifnoairlineoilerisused,run1/2oz.ofoilthroughthetool.Theoilcanbesquirtedintothe
toolairinletorintothehoseatthenearestconnectiontotheairsupply,thenrunthetool.Arustinhibitiveoilisacceptableforairtools.
WARNING:Afteranairtoolhasbeenlubricated,oilwilldischargethroughtheexhaustportduringthefirstfewsecondsofoperation.Theexhaustport
must be covered with a towel before applying air pressure to prevent serious injury.
Operation
The sander has a reciprocating pad and produces a smooth and professional finish to most surfaces. Suitable for removing paint and rust from metal
surfaces, smoothing edges, shaping welded surfaces including fiberglass and wood surfaces for further finishing. Aftermountingsandpaper,startthis
start this Sander under a bench in order to make sure sandpaper is firmly attached.
Abrasivepapercanbeheldby2clampsorPSApaper.Donotusethetoolforanyotherpurposethanthatforwhichitwasdesigned.Donotmodify
the tool for any other purpose.
Speedcanbevariedbythetrigger(19).
Alwaysturnofftheairsupply,drainhoseofairpressureanddetachtoolfromairsupplybeforeinstalling,removingoradjustinganypartoraccessory
onthistool,orbeforeperforminganymaintenanceonthistool.Aftermountingsandpaper,startthisSanderunderabenchinordertomakesure
sandpaper is firmly attached. Applylightpressuretotheworkareaandallowthesandpapertoprovidethedesiredfinish.
Becarefulwhensandingaroundsharpedgestopreventcuttingsandpaperandpad.Changesandpaperwhenwornorclogged.Usesandpaper
specifically sized to the pad.
Periodically check air inlet screen and remove any contaminants.
