Why is the water dirty in my SunSun Water Filtration System?
    • F
      Frank AdamsJul 29, 2025
If the water in your aquarium is dirty when using a SunSun Water Filtration System, several factors could be at play. It might be that beneficial bacteria haven't yet been established in the new filter; in this case, try dosing some bacteria into the filter and tank. The filter might be too small, requiring an upgrade to a larger one. There could be too many fish; a general guideline is 1 cm (1 inch) of fish per liter (gallon) of tank water. Also, check if the filter pads or quartz tube are dirty and clean them if necessary. If the water is extremely dirty, consider changing half of the water.

What to do if the UV light is not on in my SunSun CBG-500 Water Filtration Systems?
    • T
      Thomas FaulknerAug 7, 2025
If the UV light is not on in your SunSun Water Filtration System, first ensure that the filter is properly plugged into the power supply. If it is, the UV bulb may be burnt out and need replacement. Also, check that the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.

      Kristi ChavezAug 18, 2025
If no water comes out of your SunSun Water Filtration System, check these potential causes: there might not be enough water in the filter body, so add some tank water. Ensure the filter is correctly plugged into the power supply. The intake cover could also be clogged, so clean it to ensure proper water flow.
