The SunSun 3-in-1 Filter is a UVC device that integrates a pump, a UV clarifier, and a filter system. Water is pumped through the device, where it passes a UV lamp and is exposed to UVC radiation. This radiation effectively destroys bacteria, pathogens, and floating algae present in the water, leading to clearer water. The device also incorporates a filter system, including filter sponges and filter boxes, to mechanically clean the water. The pump ensures continuous circulation of water through the filtration and UV sterilization components.
The CUF series filters are designed for an electrical connection of 230 V ~ 50 Hz, requiring fusing of at least 10 A. The temperature of the liquid transported should not exceed +35 °C in continuous operation. The device is not suitable for conveying flammable, gas-forming, or explosive liquids, or other chemical products like engine fuels or cleaning agents.

The device is designed for submersible use, with a maximum operating depth of 2 meters below the water surface. The maximum pressure it can withstand is 2 bar.
The SunSun 3-in-1 Filter is intended for underwater operation and must be fully submerged to prevent dry-running damage. It is crucial not to switch on the device before it is in the water. The device includes an integrated on/off switch for operation.

General Cleaning: To clean the filter, first dismantle any fountain attachments. Loosen screw No. 22 and open the two clips on the side of the device to remove the filter cover. The filter sponge and filter boxes should then be removed, cleaned, or replaced as necessary. The filter sponge requires regular cleaning, ideally at least once a month. Operating the device without a filter sponge can lead to damage to the pump and UV unit from foreign bodies.
UV Lamp Care: To access the UV lamp, release the locking lever and turn the cylinder counter-clockwise until it stops, allowing the lamp to be pulled out and changed. For cleaning the quartz glass sleeve, loosen screw ring No. 4 and pull the sleeve out of its connector. Parts of the UV lamp are made of glass, so care must be taken to avoid dropping or hitting the device hard to prevent breakage.
Pump Care: For pump maintenance, turn the pump cover counter-clockwise until it stops to separate the housing parts. The pump shaft can then be pulled out of the housing and thoroughly cleaned with a soft brush and clean water.
Winter Storage: Before winter, the device should be removed from the pond or aquarium. All components must be thoroughly cleaned and inspected for any damage. For storage, the device should be kept in a frost-free place, preferably in a container filled with water to prevent seals from drying out.
Safety Precautions: Before each use, perform a visual inspection of the device. Do not use the device if safety devices are damaged or worn, and never override them. If the cable or plug is damaged, it must be exchanged by a qualified electrician; repairs are not permitted. The device should not be operated when people are in the water. Always keep all safety notices and instructions for future reference.
