Check gas system for leaks to prevent re or explosion hazard
1.The“LeakCheck”mustbeperformedbeforelightingthegrillandeachtimethecylinder
isconnectedforuse.
2.Donotsmokeorallowothersourcesofignitionintheareawhileconductingaleaktest.
3. Conducttheleaktestoutdoorsinawell-ventilatedarea.
4. Donotusematches,lightersoraametocheckforleaks.
5. Donotusegrilluntilallleakshavebeenstopped,ifyouareunabletostopaleak,discon-
nectthepropanesupply,andcallforgasapplicationserviceoryourlocalpropanegas
supplier.
Leak Check Method
1.Make2-3oz.ofleaksolutionbymixingonepartliquiddishwashingsoapwiththreeparts
water.
2.Makesurecontrolknobisinthe“OFF”position.
3. Sprayorpaintsomeleaksolutiononthecylinderandregulatorconnection.
4. Inspectthesolutionattheconnections,lookingforbubbles.Ifnobubblesappear,
the connection is secure.
5. Ifbubblesappear,aleakisdetected.Gotostep6.
6. Disconnectthecylinderfromtheregulator,andreconnect.Makesuretheconnectionis
secureandnoleakisfoundbeforeusingthegrill.
7. Ifyoucontinuetoseebubbles,DO NOT USE THE GRILL.Repeattheaboveprocesswith
adifferentLPcylinder.Ifleaksarestillpresent,contactthecustomerservicecenter.
Lighting instructions
1.Readallinstructionsbeforelighting.
2.Openlidduringlighting.
3. Makesurethegascontrolknobisin“OFF”position.
4. Unfoldsidetablesintotheopenposition.
5. Ifbubblesappear,aleakisdetected.Gotostep6.
6. Pushthegascontrolknobandquicklyturn
counterclockwiseto“HIGH”position.
Theigniterwillclickandlighttheburner.
7. Ifignitiondoesnotoccurin5seconds,turn
thegascontrolknoboff,wait5minutes,
andrepeatsteps2-5.
Beforecookingonthisgrillforthersttime,operatethegrillforabout15minuteswiththelid
closedandthegasturnedon“HIGH”.Thiswill“heatclean”theinternalpartsanddissipate
odorfromthepaintednish.
