Usage Features:

The AOC-STG-b2T is designed for easy integration into Supermicro motherboards with minimum PCI-E 3.0 x8 slots and server systems with low-profile or full-height PCI-E 3.0 x8 expansion slots. The NC-SI header allows for out-of-band management by connecting to a motherboard's Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) for remote management, requiring a special cable from Supermicro. LAN ports support 10Gbps connections using RJ45 cables. LED indicators on each LAN port provide visual feedback on link speed (Green for 10Gbps, Amber for 1Gbps, Amber for 100Mbps) and activity (Green Solid for Link, Green Flashing for Active).

Maintenance Features:

The device is designed with manageability features such as NC-SI, PXE, and iSCSI boot, which aid in remote monitoring and initial system setup. Asset management features, including a thermal sensor, allow for monitoring the card's operating conditions. For driver installation, the card comes with a CD-ROM (CDR-NIC), and drivers can also be downloaded from the Supermicro Support website. Detailed instructions are provided for installing drivers on Windows and Linux operating systems, including specific steps for InfiniBand and RoCE drivers on Linux. The manual emphasizes precautions against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) during installation, recommending the use of a grounded wrist strap and handling the card by its edges to prevent damage. For warranty service, a receipt or copy of the invoice is required, and an RMA number can be obtained from the vendor or online for faster service. The warranty covers normal consumer use but excludes damages from shipping, alteration, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance.
