LED Indicators
LED indicators for the MBM-GEM-003s Gigabit Ethernet switch module are listed and
described in Table A-3 of Appendix A.
Ports
The MBM-GEM-003s Gigabit Ethernet switch module contains several front-mounted
ports as described below in Table 4-9.

Port Description
RS-232 Compatible Serial Port
This port accepts an connector cable for uplink using RS-232
connection to a console.
10-Gbps SFP+ Ethernet Ports
These eight ports accept a SFP+ connector for 10-Gbps uplink
communications.
USB Ports
Two USB ports are provided on the front of the server for peripheral
device connections.
40-Gbps QSFP Ports
Two QSFP 40-Gbps ports are provided on the front of the server for
uplink.
1-Gbps RJ-45 IPMI ports
Two 1-Gbps RJ-45 ports are provided on the front of the server for
IPMI communications.
