Adhere to maximum working load capacity and avoid prolonged pulls at heavy loads to prevent damage.
Inspect wire rope for fraying and broken strands; use leather gloves and ensure proper rope seating.
Always stand clear, use handsaver for guiding rope, and keep clear of winch during operation.
Never use winch for lifting people, overhead hoisting, or with less than 5 turns of rope on the drum.
Ensure proper under-wind direction mounting and correct wiring connections to the battery and switch.
Engage and disengage the freespool clutch correctly, ensuring at least five turns of rope remain on the drum.
Operate winch intermittently, allowing the motor to cool if it becomes excessively hot to extend its life.
