Switching the communication mode of
the keyless fob
Press and hold the lock button 1 on the key-
less fob for more than one second to switch
between ON mode and OFF mode.
ON mode:
The Keyless Start System can be used.
OFF mode:
The Keyless Start System cannot be used.
NOTE:
If the lock button is pressed briefly while in com-
munication ON mode, the LED 2 on the key-
less fob briefly flashes once.
KEYLESS FOB BATTERY REPLACEMENT

WARNING
The keyless fob contains a coin/button cell
battery.
The battery is hazardous and is to be kept
away from children and pets (whether the
battery is new or used).
The battery can cause severe or fatal inju-
ries in 2 hours or less if it is swallowed or
placed inside any part of the body.
Medical attention should be sought immedi-
ately, if it is suspected that the battery has
been swallowed or placed inside any part of
the body.
Stop using the keyless fob, if the keyless
fob cover does not close firmly.
If the keyless fob battery runs low, “Keyless
FOB Battery Low” appears on the gauge, which
indicates the battery should be replaced.

CAUTION
There is a danger of explosion if the battery
is replaced with an incorrect type.
Only replace the battery with the same or
equivalent type.
Please check and obey all local laws and
regulations for the disposal of batteries or
accumulations. Never dispose of battery in
fire or mechanical crushing or cutting.
If battery is incorrectly discarded or heated
to high temperature 100 °C (212 °F) or
higher), gas may be generated inside bat-
tery, causing electrolyte leak, internal short
circuit, heat generation, explosion and vio-
lent flaring.
Do not expose the keyless fob or its’ battery
to excessive heat such as direct sunlight or
fire.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the keyless fob, be care-
ful when replacing the battery.
Install the lithium disc-type battery with the
electrodes facing the proper direction.
Do NOT touch the internal circuit of the key-
less fob when replacing the battery.
