RIDING TIPS
STARTING THE ENGINE
Before attempting to start the engine make
sure:
The transmission is in neutral.
The engine stop switch is in the “
position.
NOTE: This motorcycle is equipped with
interlock system for the ignition circuit and
the starter circuit. The engine can only be
started if:
The transmission is in neutral and the
clutch is disengaged, or
The transmission is in gear, the side
stand is fully up and the clutch is disen-
gaged.
NOTE: The fuel supply system stops the
engine when the motorcycle is overturned.
Turn off the ignition switch before restarting
the engine.
When the engine is cold:
1. Close the throttle completely.
2. Squeeze the clutch lever and push the
electric starter switch.
3. After the engine starts, let the engine run
until the engine sufficiently warms up.
When the engine is warm:
Close the throttle completely and push the
electric starter switch.
