Improper maintenance or failure to
perform recommended maintenance
can lead to an accident.
Keep your motorcycle in good condi-
tion. Ask your Suzuki dealer or a
qualified mechanic to perform the
maintenance items marked with an
asterisk (*). You may perform the
unmarked maintenance items by
referring to the instructions in this
section, if you have mechanical
experience. If you are not sure how
to do any of the jobs, ask your
Suzuki dealer to do the maintenance.
WARNING
Exhaust gas contains carbon mon-
oxide, a dangerous gas that is diffi-
cult to detect because it is colorless
and odorless. Breathing carbon
monoxide can cause death or severe
injury.
Never start the engine or let it run
indoors or where there is little or no
ventilation.
