Why is my SVAT CV0204DVR DVR not recording?
    • S
      Sandra MelendezJul 31, 2025
There are several reasons why your SVAT Security System DVR might not be recording: * Ensure recording is enabled in each camera's setting by navigating to Menu>Camera Setup>Camera Setting and enabling recording for each camera. * Verify that recording is enabled and correctly configured in scheduled recording via Menu>Record Setup>Record Mode. If a line (-) appears over an hour, recording is disabled; press enter to enable it. * Confirm you press REC when you return to Monitoring Mode for scheduled recording to take effect. * Check if your disk is full. By default, the DVR should overwrite the oldest files, but this can be disabled. Go to Menu>Hard Drive Setup>Disk Full and set it to OVERWRITE. * Ensure your DVR is in Monitoring Mode, not a menu screen or Playback Mode.

What to do if my SVAT CV0204DVR Security System has unexpected alarms?
    • J
      Julian AlexanderAug 6, 2025
Unexpected alarms on your SVAT Security System can be triggered by several factors: * **Video Loss:** This occurs when a camera is disconnected. You can connect the camera, disable the camera's channel (Menu>Camera Setup>Camera Enable), or disable the VIDEO LOSS alert alarm by going to MENU>Buzzer Setup>Video Loss Alert and pressing enter. * **HDD Full:** A buzzer activates when your HDD is full. To resolve this, set the HDD to overwrite mode. Navigate to Menu>Hard Drive Setup>Disk Full and press enter to set it to OVERWRITE; this will record new footage over your oldest footage. * **Alarm Alert:** If set to ON, a short alarm sounds whenever motion is detected. Disable this by going to Menu>Buzzer Setup>Alarm Alert and pressing ENTER.
