Swann Communications warrants this product against defects in workmanship and material for a period of

one (1) year from its original purchase date. You must present your receipt as proof of purchase for warranty

validation. Any unit which proves defective during the stated period will be repaired without charge for parts or

labour or replaced at the sole discretion of Swann. The end user is responsible for all freight charges incurred

to send the product to Swann’s repair centres. The end user is responsible for all shipping costs incurred when

shipping from and to any country other than the country of origin.

The warranty does not cover any incidental, accidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or

the inability to use this product. Any costs associated with the fitting or removal of this product by a tradesman

or other person or any other costs associated with its use are the responsibility of the end user. This warranty

applies to the original purchaser of the product only and is not transferable to any third party. Unauthorized end

user or third party modifications to any component will render all warranties void. By law some countries do not

allow limitations on certain exclusions in this warranty. Where applicable by local laws, regulations and legal

rights will take precedence.

For Australia: Our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably

foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be

of acceptable quality.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class A digital device, pursuant to part

15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference

in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not

installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio or television

reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct

the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna

• Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver

• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected

Function Description:

The Swann 4K Ultra HD Security Camera is an advanced surveillance camera designed to capture high-resolution video in 4K Ultra HD. It features a cutting-edge EXIR infrared LED that emits a rectangular pattern for a crisp and even night vision image, ensuring clear visibility even in low-light conditions. The camera offers a super wide 75° field of view, allowing users to see extensive detail that might otherwise be missed. Its discreet dome styling and sturdy aluminum construction make it suitable for various environments, with an IP67 weather-resistant rating for both indoor and outdoor use. This camera is specifically designed to be used in combination with Swann's Ultra HD Network Video Recorders (NVRs), including models NVR8-8000™ and NVR16-8000™, for cutting-edge IP surveillance in amazing 4K resolution.

Power: Can be powered over Ethernet (PoE) when connected to a compatible NVR, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. An alternative power connector is provided if required.

Usage Features:

Installation: The camera connects to the NVR via a supplied Ethernet cable. One end plugs into the camera's LAN connection, and the other into an IP camera input on the back of the NVR.
Mounting: The camera can be mounted on a flat surface using the provided screws and wall plugs. The dome ring rotates counter-clockwise to be removed for mounting. The dome base is positioned, and mounting holes are marked using a template. The dome base is then screwed into place.
Adjustment: The camera's focal position can be adjusted by loosening a lock screw with a Phillips head screwdriver. The dome enclosure can be rotated left or right, and the dome camera can be aimed in almost any direction. It's crucial to ensure the camera's focal position is always facing up (indicated by "UP" indented on the camera) to avoid an upside-down image. After adjustment, the lock screw is tightened, and the dome ring is rotated (counter-clockwise for horizontal mount, clockwise for vertical mount) to lock it in place.
Optimal Camera Placement:
- Consider the monitoring objective and the best view.
- Ensure cables and connections are protected from weather.
- Mount the camera at an elevated position to keep it out of harm's way.
- Place the camera as close as practicable to the area of interest, ideally about 13ft/4m above, looking slightly down.
- Minimize sky in the camera's view, as bright daylight can darken the foreground.
- Position cameras to cover likely approach paths for potential offenders.
- Run cables inside wall cavities or protected enclosures, ensuring all wiring and connectors are insulated and protected from moisture.
- Avoid placing cables near live electrical wiring to prevent radio "noise" interference.

Maintenance Features:

Durability: The camera's casing is resistant to various weather conditions and tampering.
Environmental Considerations: While weather and water-resistant, prolonged exposure to adverse weather conditions like excessive sunlight or moisture may eventually damage internal components and affect performance.
Cable Protection: Cables and connections should be kept out of the weather.
FCC Verification: The device complies with FCC Rules (Part 15) for Class A digital devices, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference. Users are advised to reorient/relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, connect equipment to a different circuit, or consult a technician if interference occurs. The device must accept any interference received.

Important Instructions:

Ensure the camera is fixed correctly and stable.
Do not place strain on the network cable connection; it is not designed to support weight.
Do not operate if wires and terminals are exposed.
Users are responsible for being aware of all applicable laws and regulations regarding camera use in their jurisdiction.
