Whenyouwanttousethesecuritypossibilitiesyouhavetoenterthepasswordoftheadapter.Thispassword(“PWR:xxxx-xxxx-
xxxx-xxxx”)isuniqueforeveryadapterandislocatedonthestickerunderneaththeadapterundertheMACaddress(“MAC:
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx”).Weadviseyoutowritethesedetailsonapieceofpaperbeforeyoustarttheinstallation,thiswayyoucan
easilyfindthedetails.

Enterthepasswordthatisontheadapter.PayattentionthattheMACaddressoftheadapteristhesameastheMACaddressin
theprogram,sothattherightpasswordisentered!
Security
ItisnotnecessarytoconfigurethesecurityfortheSweexPowerlineEthernetAdapter200Mbpstoworkproperly.Ifsomeonehas
accesstoyourplugsockets,thatperson(whenyoudidnotsetupsecurity)couldaccessinternetviathatplugsocket.Thisisnot
practicalandwillhardlyeveroccur,becausethePowerlineislimitedtoyourownhouse.Powerlinedoesgooverallgroupswithin
yourhouse.
