Instructions for heaters fitted with automatic
ignitor or piezo ignitor
Switching On
1. Openthevalveonthegascylinder.Open
quick-acting valve in gas supply line.
2. Turn control knob to thermostat setting
1-10andpressitdownasfarasthestop.
AtthesametimekeepoperatingthePiezo
ignitor rapidly until the flame ignites.
3. Keep the control knob depressed for a
further10secondstoallowthesafetypilot
to operate.
4. (Piezoonly)Watchthroughtheame
windowforanother10secondstomake
sure that the flame does not go out through
air in the supply pipe (caused by the valve
being closed or changing the cylinder).
Attention: Always wait at least 2 minutes
before attempting to re-ignite, otherwise
there is a risk of blowbacks (misfiring).
This also applies if a working heater goes
out has to be re-lit.
