Restart:
Description: Restart this application. By default the system will perform a warm restart in
which the outputs of the system and current settings will be preserved during the restart
process. Specifying a cold restart will reset the system settings to their saved values and
perform a complete reset of the hardware which will result is a loss of output signals.
Syntax: restart < --cold >
Command Example:
ATS-6511>restart
Sap
Description: Enable system autoswitching participation. This sets the control at the alarm
server, for example of Ensemble A is lost in any part of the system and it was the clock all
of the 6511s were running off of, the system will switch all of the participants to B not just
the ones that lost fiber A. This keeps the entire system on the same clock source.
Usage: sap <on|off>
Query:
ATS-6511C>settings node:system_autoswitching_participant
true
[OK] 2013-09-05T19:08:36Z
Save:
Description: Save system user configuration settings to a file. The save command saves
the current settings variables. This is useful in creating multiple system configurations for
easy reloading and for ensuring the instrument preserves the same settings after a power
cycle. The settings files are physically stored to the flash drive so they will be lost if the
flash is replaced but are preserved if a software update is performed.
By default the save command stores the entire settings tree to the file named "default".
This is the settings file that is loaded at startup so it defines the settings that the system will
be initialized with. Other configurations can be stored by specifying a unique filename.
A subset of the configuration settings can also be saved. This enables users to save a
portion of the settings variables and load them later without affecting all the settings
variables for the system. For instance, a user may use save location1 fiber to store only the
fiber settings for multiple locations can be saved and then recalled later using the load
command.
Syntax: save <filename> <NODE>
FILENAME Name of settings file ('default' if unspecified)
NODE Node subset to save
