Before starting up new machine: Check the oil level of the gearbox and cutterbar, - see pages 59
and 61. Lubricate the whole machine and P.T.O. shafts.
*) All universal joints and bearings of the P.T.O. protection tubes must be lubricated after every 8
- 10 hours use. Use Graphite or Molybdenum grease.
The P.T.O./drive shafts must be checked regularly. If the profile tube is damaged or
lacks lubrication, the telescopic force might become excessive and so cause damage
to the P.T.O. shaft on the tractor or machine.
