Adjustment

Ifthebelttensionisnotnormal,adjustitwith
theadjusterbolt(2).
1.Loosenthelockingnut(3).
2.Turntheadjusterbolt(2)asfollows.
· Tighten: Clockwise
· Loosen:Counterclockwise
3. Tighten the locking nut (3) after
adjustment.
Tightening torque:
· Lockingnut(4)31.4to45.1N·m(23.2
to 33.3 ft-lb.)

If the belt tension is not normal, tilt the
compressortoadjustthetension.
1.Loosenthexingbolt(5)andxingnut(6).
2.Turntheadjusterbolt(7)asfollows.
· Tighten: Clockwise
· Loosen:Counterclockwise
3. Tighten the fixing bolt (5) and fixing nut (6)
uponcompletionofadjustment.
Note: When replacing with a new belt, run
the engine at low idle speed for about 3 to 5
minutes to break in the new belt, before
adjustingthetensionagain.
Replacing
Replace the belt in the following cases:
· There are cuts or cracks.
· The belt is worn and touches the bottom of
the V groove in the pulley.
· The belt stretched too loose to be
adjusted.
