Using the Pump Button

Snooze Alerts and Alarms

Three quick button presses and releases in succession (Snooze feature must be enabled).

Check Pump Status

Single quick button press and release. A slight delay before the LED Status Indicator illuminates is expected.

Initiate Quick Bolus

Press and hold the Pump button until two beeps or vibrations are felt. Refer to pages 10-11 for more details.

LED Status Indicator Overview

Understanding LED Color Coding

Green LED Status

Indicates basal delivery (standard or Temp Rate) or confirmation of a smartphone action.

Blue LED Status

Indicates bolus delivery or tubing being filled during cartridge load.

White LED Status

Indicates the pump is charging or insulin delivery has been stopped manually.

Yellow LED Status

Indicates an alert or reminder; check your Tandem Mobi mobile app.

Red LED Status

Indicates an alarm or malfunction; all insulin deliveries have been stopped.

Pump Status and Actions

Basal Rate Delivery

Lights are alternating and pulsating green.

Temp Rate Delivery

One light is solid green and the other is pulsating green.

Bolus Delivery

Lights are alternating and pulsating blue.

Extended Bolus Delivery

One light is solid blue and the other is pulsating blue.

Alerts and Alarms

Pump Reminder

Both lights blink yellow once.

Deliveries Stopped Manually

Both lights blink white three times.

Pump Malfunction or Alarm

Both lights blink red three times.

Pump or CGM Alert

Both lights blink yellow two times.

How to Charge the Insulin Pump

Checking Pump Battery Level

Under 50% Battery Charge

One LED Status Indicator will pulsate white.

Low Battery Charge

No LED Status Indicator or one LED Status Indicator will pulsate red.

Above 50% Battery Charge

One LED Status Indicator stays solid white, one pulsates white.

Fully Charged Pump

LED Status Indicators will dim.
