tone
may vary
slightly

you
search
due to soil changes. This
does not
usually
affect the sensitivity
of the
unit and should not require
further
adjustment.
lf
the threshold
tone changes significantly,
you
might
need
to
readjust
GROUND.
Sometimes
the
change
in
threshold
tone is
due to
reasons
other than
ground
conditions
and
can be easily
corrected by
a simple
procedure.
Raise
the
searchcoil
one
foot from
the
ground
and
push
TUNE.
Lower
the searchcoil
to the
ground
again. lf
this does not
correct
the
problem,
repeat
the full
procedure
to
set GROUND.

Dropping
it can

and cases and
can cause
the metal
detector to
work
improperly.
Use and
store the metal
detector
only
in
normal
temperature
en-
vironments.
Temperature
extremes
can shorten
the
life
of electronic
devices
and distort
or
melt
plastic parts.
Keep
the metal
detector
away
from
dust and
dirt,
which
can
cause
premature
wear
of
parts.
Wipe
the metal
detector with
a damp cloth
occasionally
to
keep
it
looking
new.
Do not
use harsh
chemicals,
cleaning
solvents, or
strong
detergents
to clean the metal
detector.
