  If your TCL Air Conditioner isn't cooling as expected, ensure that curtains, blinds, or furniture aren't blocking the front of the unit. Also, try lowering the thermostat temperature. Clean the air filter, and allow time for the room to cool down after turning on the air conditioner. Check for open furnace registers and cold air returns. If the cooling coils are frozen, refer to the section on 'Air Conditioner Freezing Up'.

  If your TCL Air Conditioner won't start, ensure it's fully plugged into the outlet. Check your house's fuse or circuit breaker and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. If there was a power failure, the unit will restart automatically, but there's a 3-minute protective delay for the compressor. Also, if the current interrupter device is tripped, press the RESET button on the power cord plug. If it won't stay engaged, stop using the air conditioner and contact a qualified technician.
