Safety
Ensure that your domestic mains supply voltage
matches the voltage indicated on the identication
sticker located at the back of your set. Where the
mains plug, AC inlet or an appliance coupler is used
as disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.
On certain models, the light indicator is located at the
side of the TV set. The absence of a light indication
at the front does not mean that the TV set is fully
disconnected from the mains. To disconnect the TV
set completely, the mains plug must be pulled out.
The TV set’s components are sensitive to heat. The
maximum ambient temperature
should not exceed
35º
Celsius. Do not cover the vents at the back or
sides of the TV set. Leave su󰀩cient space around it to
allow adequate ventilation. Install the appliance away
from any source of heat (replace, etc.) or appliances
creating strong magnetic or electric elds.
Moisture
in rooms where the set is installed should
not exceed
75%
humidity. Moving the set from a cold
place to a warm one can cause condensation on the
screen (and on some components inside the TV set).
Let the condensation evaporate before switching the
TV set on again.
The or
POWER/
button on the TV set or the
button on the remote control can be used to switch it
on and put it into standby mode. If you are
not going
to be watching the TV for a lengthy period of time
,
switch it o󰀨 completely by removing the plug from the
mains power socket.
During
thunderstorms
, we recommend that you
disconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial so
that it is not a󰀨ected by electrical or electromagnetic
surges that could damage it. For this reason, keep the
mains and aerial sockets
accessible so they can be
disconnected
, if necessary.
Unplug
the TV set immediately if you notice it giving
o󰀨 a
smell of burning
or
smoke
. You must never,
under any circumstances, open the TV set yourself,
as you run the risk of an
electric shock
in doing so.

Overview

This document outlines the features, usage, and maintenance of a television set, emphasizing safety and optimal performance.

The television is designed for domestic household use and should not be used in commercial environments. It is sensitive to heat, with a maximum ambient temperature of 35° Celsius. Proper ventilation is crucial, requiring at least 10cm clearance around the device and ensuring that vents are not covered by items like newspapers or curtains. The TV should be installed away from heat sources and strong magnetic or electric fields. Humidity in the room where the set is installed should not exceed 75%. Moving the TV from a cold to a warm place can cause condensation, which must evaporate before the TV is switched on.

For power management, the TV can be switched on and off using the or POWER/ button on the set or the button on the remote control. To fully disconnect the TV, the mains plug must be pulled out. During thunderstorms, it is recommended to disconnect both the mains and aerial to protect against electrical or electromagnetic surges. The mains and aerial sockets should always be accessible for this purpose. If a burning smell or smoke is detected, the TV should be unplugged immediately. Users should never open the TV themselves due to the risk of electric shock.

The TV screen is made of glass and can break if dropped or impacted. It is a high-technology product that may occasionally display a few nonactive pixels (fixed points of blue, green, or red), which do not affect performance. For cleaning, a glass-cleaning product and a soft cloth should be used for the screen, and a mild detergent for the rest of the set. Strong detergents, alcohol-based, and abrasive products can damage the screen. Vents should be dusted regularly. If any object or liquid enters the appliance, it should be unplugged immediately and checked by an authorized engineer.

The device meets ESD performance criteria. In cases where the apparatus does not recover in Ethernet connection or USB playing mode due to electrostatic discharge, user intervention is required.

Bluetooth® technology, if available, operates on a 2.4GHz frequency. Proximity to Wi-Fi access points, routers, or microwave ovens may interfere with Bluetooth audio streaming. If interruptions occur, restarting the Bluetooth device to find a less interfered frequency or moving closer to the TV or increasing space between the TV and interference sources is recommended.

For wall mounting, at least two people are required, depending on the TV's size. The wall must support the weight of the TV and the wall mount assembly. Mounting instructions provided with the wall mount should be followed, including screwing hexagonal VESA wall mounting screw bosses (and screws) into the nuts for the wall mount. The TV must be installed on a vertical wall using screws suitable for the wall material. Cables should be routed to prevent tripping hazards.

The TV supports various connections, including power, antenna, Blu-ray Disc players, HD game consoles, HD camcorders, headphones, and CI modules. The position of the power socket varies by TV model, and the power cord should be disconnected before connecting other devices. For internet connectivity, both wired and wireless options are available. Wired connection involves a router and modem, while wireless connection uses a wireless router. Network settings can be configured via the dashboard menu.

The remote control provides comprehensive functionality, including numeric buttons for channel selection, input source selection, quick settings panel access, color buttons for tasks and HbbTV, a Google Assistant button (for Google TV mode with network connection), navigation direction buttons, an OK button for confirmation, a back button, a Smart TV homepage button, an EPG button, volume control, a mute button, channel list access, freeviewPlay access, program information display, and dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, TCL Channel, TCL Home, and TCL BrowseHere. Some remote control features and app buttons may vary by model. The Google Assistant button requires pairing the remote with the TV upon first use.

Batteries for the remote control are installed by opening the back cover and inserting two AAA batteries according to polarity markings. Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat and should be removed if the remote control will not be used for a long time to prevent damage from deterioration or corrosive leakage. Used batteries should be disposed of in local recycling facilities.

Upon initial setup, a Welcome screen guides the user through language selection, network connection, and channel scanning. If only analogue channels are retrieved, it may be due to poor broadcasting, which is not covered by manufacturer warranty.

Basic TV operations include accessing channels using navigation buttons, the OK button, CH∧/∨ buttons, or the LIST button. Connected devices can be watched by selecting the input source. Volume is adjusted with VOL+/- buttons, and sound can be muted. The Smart TV homepage provides access to Internet Applications (Apps) and websites. Network settings should be configured before using Smart TV applications. Performance may vary based on network conditions.

The Settings menu allows adjustment of TV settings like picture and sound. Submenus are navigated using direction buttons.

Channel installation can be done automatically if skipped during initial setup, if no channels are found, or to update existing channels. The TV installs and arranges channels based on country/region selection. Common interface modules can decode encrypted digital TV channels, providing access to various digital services. The module should be gently inserted into the common interface slot while the TV is off.

Subtitles can be enabled for each TV channel, broadcast via Teletext or DVB digital broadcasts. Preferred subtitle languages can be selected. Teletext decoding page language and digital Teletext language can also be set.

External devices control (CEC) allows searching for CEC devices connected via HDMI and enabling one-touch play and standby. Auto power on enables the TV to turn on automatically when a CEC device is powered on. Auto standby allows CEC devices to go into standby when the TV is turned off.

HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV) offers interactive television over broadband Internet on certain digital TV channels. To use HbbTV, the TV must be connected to the Internet, and HbbTV must be switched on in the settings. HbbTV services are broadcast- or country-dependent and may not be available in all areas. The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) displays scheduled digital TV programmes, allowing navigation, selection, and viewing of programmes.

The Bluetooth function allows connection of Bluetooth audio devices, mice, or keyboards. The TV searches for nearby Bluetooth devices for pairing. The Quick Start function enables faster TV startup from standby but increases standby power consumption. Networked waking up allows the TV to be turned on from standby via a network using a compatible app on a smartphone.

The TV can be reset to factory default settings via the Settings menu. The hands-free TV voice control, if available, requires connecting the TV to the network and enabling the built-in MIC switch. It is activated by saying "OK Google" or "Hey Google." A quiet environment and proximity to the TV are recommended for optimal performance. The Blue Light Filter reduces blue light emission to reduce visual fatigue.

Troubleshooting tips include checking power cord connection, source type, antenna connection, volume, and headphone connection if there is no picture or sound. For unclear pictures, checking antenna cable, signal reception, and interference from other peripherals or electrical sources is advised. For picture issues like darkness, lightness, or tint, color, brightness, and sharpness adjustments should be checked. If the remote control is not working, batteries and the remote sensor window should be checked.

The device uses GPL (Version 2 and 3), LGPL (version 2.1), and MPL (version 1.1) software. It also incorporates software from the Independent JPEG Group, libpng Project, Freetype Project, zlib Project, libxml2, curl, expat, c-areas, CyberLink for C, opensl, and xerces.
