Safety
Ensure that your domestic mains supply voltage
matches the voltage indicated on the identication
sticker located at the back of your set. Where the
mains plug, AC inlet or an appliance coupler is used
as disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.
On certain models, the light indicator is located at the
side of the TV set. The absence of a light indication
at the front does not mean that the TV set is fully
disconnected from the mains. To disconnect the TV
set completely, the mains plug must be pulled out.
The TV set’s components are sensitive to heat. The
maximum ambient temperature
should not exceed
35º
Celsius. Do not cover the vents at the back or
sides of the TV set. Leave su󰀩cient space around it to
allow adequate ventilation. Install the appliance away
from any source of heat (replace, etc.) or appliances
creating strong magnetic or electric elds.
Moisture
in rooms where the set is installed should
not exceed
75%
humidity. Moving the set from a cold
place to a warm one can cause condensation on the
screen (and on some components inside the TV set).
Let the condensation evaporate before switching the
TV set on again.
The or
POWER/
button on the TV set or the
button on the remote control can be used to switch it
on and put it into standby mode. If you are
not going
to be watching the TV for a lengthy period of time
,
switch it o󰀨 completely by removing the plug from the
mains power socket.
During
thunderstorms
, we recommend that you
disconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial so
that it is not a󰀨ected by electrical or electromagnetic
surges that could damage it. For this reason, keep the
mains and aerial sockets
accessible so they can be
disconnected
, if necessary.
Unplug
the TV set immediately if you notice it giving
o󰀨 a
smell of burning
or
smoke
. You must never,
under any circumstances, open the TV set yourself,
as you run the risk of an
electric shock
in doing so.

Key functions include:

  • Power Management: The TV can be switched on/off and put into standby mode using the remote control or a button on the set. A Quick Start function allows faster power-on from standby, though it increases standby power consumption. For complete power-off, the mains plug must be disconnected.
  • Channel Management: The TV can automatically search and store digital and analog channels. It supports DVB-T/DVB-C/DVB-S/DVB-T2/DVB-S2 digital broadcasts. Channels can be organized and edited through the settings menu.
  • Input Source Selection: Users can switch between various input sources such as Blu-ray Disc players, HD game consoles, HD camcorders, and CI modules connected via HDMI or other ports.
  • Volume Control: Volume can be adjusted and muted using the remote control.
  • Smart TV Homepage: This feature provides access to internet applications (Apps) and specially adapted internet websites.
  • Settings Menu: A comprehensive settings menu allows adjustment of TV settings, including picture, sound, network, and system options.
  • Subtitle Support: Subtitles can be enabled for each TV channel, with options to select preferred subtitle languages for digital broadcasts, including a "Hearing impaired" subtitle type.
  • Teletext: The TV supports Teletext, allowing users to select decoding page language and digital Teletext language for multi-language services.
  • Consumer Electronic Control (CEC): This function enables one-touch play and one-touch standby for CEC-compatible devices connected via HDMI.
  • HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV): This service, offered by certain broadcasters, provides interactive television over broadband Internet, including digital teletext, electronic program guides, games, and catch-up TV.
  • EPG (Electronic Programme Guide): An on-screen guide displays scheduled digital TV programs, allowing users to navigate, select, and view program information, set schedules, and filter programs.
  • Bluetooth Functionality: (Available on some models) The TV can connect to Bluetooth audio devices, mice, or keyboards for data exchange over short distances.
  • Networked Waking Up: This function allows the TV to be turned on from standby mode via a network using a compatible app on a smartphone.
  • Hands-free TV Voice Control: (Available on selected models) With the built-in MIC switch turned on and the TV connected to the network, users can activate Google Assistant with voice commands.
  • Factory Reset: The TV can be reset to its default factory settings, requiring a password for confirmation.

Usage Features

The television is designed for ease of use with a user-friendly interface and remote control.

  • Remote Control: The exclusive remote control provides navigation buttons, numeric buttons, and dedicated buttons for common functions like power, volume, channel change, input source, Smart TV homepage, EPG, and specific streaming services. Some models may have an additional remote control with more dedicated buttons. The remote control uses AAA batteries, which should be inserted according to polarity.
  • Multi-function Menu: While the TV is on, a multi-function menu can be accessed via a button on the TV set, allowing selection of various functions.
  • Initial Setup: The first time the TV is switched on, a Welcome screen guides the user through an initial setup process, including language selection, network connection, and channel scanning.
  • Common Interface Module: For encrypted digital TV channels, a common interface module and a card from a digital TV service operator can be inserted into the TV's CI slot to decode services.
  • Connectivity: The TV offers multiple HDMI ports (some with ARC support), USB ports for data input and device connection, and antenna/cable inputs. It is recommended to use high-quality, shielded HDMI cables and to connect USB devices directly without long extenders.
  • Google TV Mode: Many smart features, including Watchlist, Google Assistant, and Networked Standby, are available in Google TV mode.
  • Accessibility: Subtitle options include a "Hearing impaired" type for enhanced accessibility.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your television.

  • Cleaning: Use a glass-cleaning product for the screen and a soft cloth with mild detergent for the rest of the set. Avoid strong detergents, alcohol-based, and abrasive products, as they can damage the screen and TV set.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving at least 10cm clearance around the television and not covering the ventilation openings with items like newspapers or curtains. The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 35° Celsius.
  • Moisture Control: Avoid installing the TV in rooms with humidity exceeding 75%. If moving the TV from a cold to a warm place, allow condensation to evaporate before switching it on.
  • Protection from Surges: During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV from the mains and aerial to protect it from electrical or electromagnetic surges. Keep mains and aerial sockets accessible for this purpose.
  • Battery Care: Batteries in the remote control should not be exposed to excessive heat. Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for a long time to prevent damage from deterioration or corrosive leakage. Dispose of used batteries according to local recycling instructions.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Never open the TV set yourself due to the risk of electric shock.
    • If the external flexible cable or cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
    • Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing liquids, and do not place objects filled with liquids on it.
    • To prevent fire, keep candles or other open flames away from the product.
    • Securely attach the TV to the floor/wall according to installation instructions to prevent it from falling, especially if children are present.
    • Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV.
    • Route cords and cables to prevent tripping hazards.
    • Avoid placing the TV in unstable locations or on tall furniture without proper anchoring.
    • Do not place materials between the TV and supporting furniture.
    • Avoid placing items that might tempt children to climb on the TV or furniture.
  • Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting section in the manual provides solutions for common issues like no picture/sound, unclear picture, or non-working remote control. If issues persist, refer to the warranty card for service information.
  • ESD Regulation: The apparatus meets ESD performance criteria. User intervention may be required if the apparatus does not recover in Ethernet connection mode or USB playing mode due to electrostatic discharge.
  • Bluetooth Interference: Bluetooth technology uses 2.4GHz frequency, which can interfere with Wi-Fi access points, routers, or microwave ovens. If audio reception is interrupted, restart the Bluetooth device, move closer to the TV, or increase space between the TV and sources of interference.
