BRAKING

Regenerative
braking
means
the
use
of
the
drive
motor
as
a
temporary
generator
to
charge
the
battery
with
the
generated
electric
current.
Regenerative
braking
is
available
in
two
ways,
brake
regeneration
and
switch-back
regeneration.
Each
regeneration
is
available
in
the
following
procedures
and
the
8-segment
indicator
appears
as
above.
INSTRUMENTS
AND
CONTROLS

Brake
regeneration
1)
The
direction
of
travel
is
the
same
as
the
F/R
lever
position.
(example:
When
the
direction
of
travel
is
“forward,”
the
F/R
lever
is
in
the
“forward”
position.)
2)
The
accelerator
pedal
is
released
or
the
brake
pedal
is
stepped
on.
3)
If
the
brake
pedal
is
released
and
accelerator
pedal
is
stepped
on
or
if
the
traveling
speed
drops
to
0
km/h
during
regeneration
braking,
the
function
will
be
cancelled.

Switch-back
regeneration
1)
The
direction
of
travel
is
the
same
as
the
F/R
lever
position.
(example:
When
the
direction
of
travel
is
“forward,”
the
F/R
lever
is
in
the
“forward”
position.)
2)
The
F/R
lever
is
reversed
with
the
accelerator
pedal
stepped
on.
3)
If
the
F/R
lever
is
reversed
or
the
traveling
speed
drops
to
0
km/
h
during
switch-back
regeneration,
the
function
is
cancelled.
