Make
sure
that
the
LCD
display
is
turned
on
when
the
starter
key
is
switched
from
OFF
to
ON.
[18] LIGHTS AND LAMPS
Operate the lighting switches to check that lights and lamps are
turned4 on and off properly.
19 | TURN SIGNALS
Operate
the
turn
signal
lever
to
see
if
the
turn
signals
blink
properly.
HORN
Press
the
horn
button
on
the
steering
wheel
to
check
that
the
horn
sounds properly.
[27 BRAKE PEDALS
Step on the brake pedal to check that it moves smoothly. Remove
your foot from the pedal to see if it returns to its original position.
Play of the brake pedal is 5 mm.
A: Height of the brake pedal from the floor.................. 90 mm
[22] MAST OPERATION
Operate each of the lift and tilt levers two or three times to check
that the forks and mast operate smoothly without squeaking, and
that they are not loose.
(If the truck is equipped with a hydraulic attachment, check it and
its control lever as well.)
A NOTE
WARMING UP CYLINDERS
Before starting the work, warm up the cylinders. This lubricates
packing and seals in the cylinders to make them ready for
operation.
