battery
is
used
for
a
long
time
or
charging
is
performed
with
the
electrolyte
level
below
the
LOWER
LEVEL,
the
pole
plates
will
get
deteriorated
and
in
the
worst
case
the
battery
might
explode.
•
Do
not
use
open
flame
for
checking
the
electrolyte
level;
otherwise
there
is
a
fear
of
ignition
or
explosion.
Electrolyte level is at
the lower limit
Electrolyte level is at the
upper limit
Check
the
red
float
support
rod
in
the
cell
plug
to
see
if
the
electrolyte
level
is
at
the
upper
limit.
PROCEDURE FOR ADDING WATER
A CAUTION
Overfilling purified water will cause electrical leakage
of the battery.
Do not exceed the specified upper limit.
Open
the
cap
of
each
cell
plug
and
pour
purified
water
through
a
funnel
into
the
cell.
Stop
adding
water
when
the
red
ring
reaches
the
top
position.
After
adding
water,
close
the
cell
plug
cap
until
it
clicks.
Centralized water fill unit (option)
Remove the centralized water fill port cap and pour purified water
using
the
purified
water
tank.
Stop
adding
water
when
the
red
float
rod reaches the top position. After adding water, do not leave the
cock of the purified water tank open for more than 30 seconds. 1
