Symptom Fault Possible Solutions
Booster fan
will not turn
Fan outlet/ducting blocked
Oil tank isolation valve turned off
Pump drive belts slipping damaged
Oil tank suction filter blocked
With machine safe investigate and clear blockage
Open valve
Investigate belt condition and tension
Replace hydraulic oil and suction filter
Booster fan
output low
Relief valve fault
Relief valve setting incorrect
Fan outlet/ducting partially blocked
Poor route for ducting
Fan speed control knob incorrectly set
Tomahawk drum speed too slow
Investigate relief valve for contamination / damage
The correct relief valve setting is 220Bar (3190psi)
With machine safe investigate for blockages
Ducting route should be as straight as possible
Turn the control knob anticlockwise to increase speed
Increase Tomahawk drum speed
Hydraulic oil
temperature
too high
Cooler power supply cable not connected
Cooler power supply fuse blown
Cooler screen blocked with debris
Cooler temperature sensor failed
Connect cooler power supply cable to tractor
Replace fuse
Clear cooler screen
Replace temperature sensor
Excessive

Fan out of balance
Fan blades damaged
Fan housing bearings failing
Fan must be dynamically balanced
Investigate fan condition
Investigate condition of fan housing bearings
Drum will not
turn
No oil flow from tractor
Incorrect oil flow direction from tractor
No power to machine mounted receiver
Machine mounted receiver fuse blown
Damaged hydraulic motor on drum drive
Damaged quick release coupling
Engage spool in tractor cab
Reverse oil flow direction from tractor
Plug electric cable into tractor 3 pin power socket
Remove receiver lid and replace 5A rated fuse.
Replace hydraulic motor
Replace quick release coupling at tractor connection
Handheld
transmitter
will not switch
on
Batteries discharged
Fault with remote control system
Slide switch on back of transmitter off
Replace 3 x AAA batteries in handset
Replace remote control system
Move switch to onposition
