Overview

The Technaxx Jump Starter & Powerbank TX-218 is a versatile device designed to jump-start vehicles and charge mobile devices. It features a robust 12000mAh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo) battery, making it suitable for starting gas engines up to 4.0L and diesel engines up to 2.5L.

Function Description:

The primary function of the TX-218 is to provide a jump-start for cars with a 12V output. It delivers a starting current of 350A with a maximum peak current of 500A. Beyond jump-starting, it also serves as a power bank, offering two USB-A outputs (5V, 2A and 5V, 1A) for charging various mobile devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, or cameras. Additionally, it includes a hollow output (5521) with 12V 8A max for connecting 12V car adapter devices. An integrated LED working light provides illumination with different functions. The device incorporates essential safety features including overcharge and overdischarge protection, fuse protection, and reverse polarity protection.

Usage Features:

  • Battery Status Indicator: The device features 4 LED indicator lights to show the battery's charge level (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). During charging, these lights flash, and solid lights indicate the charged capacity.
  • Charging the Device: The TX-218 can be charged either at home using the provided AC-Charger (connecting to a universal socket) or in a car using the Car-Adapter (connecting to the cigarette lighter socket). Both methods require a 5V 1A input.
  • Power Button: A single press of the power button checks the balance power and starts the product. Pressing it for 3 seconds activates the LED working light. The power indicator lights turn blue to show the remaining charge: 4 LEDs for 100%, 3 LEDs for 75%, 2 LEDs for 50%, 1 LED for 25%, and no LEDs for 0%. It is advised not to jump-start a car if fewer than 3 indicator lights are on.
  • Jump Starting a Car:
    1. Ensure at least 3 indicator lights are on.
    2. Connect the red battery clamp to the positive pole of the vehicle's battery and the black clamp to the negative pole.
    3. Plug the jumper cable cord into the starter's socket on the TX-218.
    4. Start the vehicle.
    5. Once the vehicle starts, remove the cable from the Jump Starter and disconnect the battery clamps from the vehicle battery terminals within 30 seconds.
    6. Allow the vehicle's engine to continue running.
  • Using the 12V Car Adapter Socket: Plug the switch cable into the 12V/8A output port, connect a 12V device, and press the switch button to supply power. This is suitable for DC12V powered electronics up to 8A using a cigarette plug adapter.
  • Charging Mobile Phones/Tablets: Plug the switch cable B into a USB 5V-1A/2A output port, then select the appropriate connector for your mobile device to connect it to the switch cable B.
  • Automatic Shutdown: The appliance will power off automatically after 20 seconds of no load.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Charging: It is recommended to check the power of the device once a month and recharge it every 1-2 months to ensure it is ready for emergencies. The device can hold its charge for 3-6 months.
  • Storage Conditions:
    • Indoor Storage: Keep out of reach of children and away from fire or objects with surface temperatures over 60°C. Store in a non-corrosive gas environment, ideally between 15°C and 35°C, which allows the device to remain good for 6 months.
    • Car Storage: Remove the product and keep it indoors if the car interior temperature is not between 0°C and 60°C to prevent damage or explosion. Ensure the device is in a stable position to avoid damage from bumping.
  • Cleaning: Use a dry cloth to remove dirt from the product ports.
  • Damage/Malfunction: In case of severe external shock, turn off the power immediately. If the product is accidentally dropped into water, place it in a safe, open area and let it dry completely. If the product catches fire, use a fire extinguisher (sand, fire blanket, dry chemical, then carbon dioxide). If the product is overturned and seriously damaged, turn it off, place the battery in an open area away from flammable objects, and dispose of it according to local laws.
  • Battery Leakage: In extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur. Carefully wipe off the liquid with a cloth, avoid skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water, and seek medical attention.
  • Disposal: At the end of its useful life, dispose of the appliance and its packaging responsibly. Old equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste but should be taken to designated collection points for recycling. Batteries containing harmful substances (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead) are marked accordingly.
