Setting the functions
You can set various functions, for example, the type of tuning, or how the sound is produced when the keys are pressed
very slowly.
Settings which can be adjusted
PIANO TUNING
off (when indicator is not lit)
Standard equal temperament.
Sound is produced regardless of how softly the
keys are pressed.
on (when indicator is lit)
Standard acoustic piano tuning, in which
the lower pitches are tuned slightly lower
and the higher pitches are tuned slightly
| higher (default setting).
No sound is produced when а key is
played extremely softly (default setting).
Procedure
While pressing the MODE SET button, turn the desired
function on or off by pressing the relevant button.
e When changing the settings, the panel buttons function
as shown in the illustrations.

« While the MODE SET button is depressed, the key-
board keys do not produce sound.
• When the MODE SET button is pressed, the MIDI
CHANNEL number (refer to page 18) is shown on the
display.
B Initialization
If the INITIAL key on the keyboard is pressed while
the MODE SET button is depressed, all settings return
to their default status.
• The TRANSPOSE indicators will flash at this time.
• Note that when you perform the initialization pro-
cedure, the tracks which have been memorized by
the SEQUENCER will also be cleared.
