Feed Pump
The feed pump is an intake-camshaft driven gearwheel pump
which provides the HPP with diesel or jet-fuel with a pressure of
3-5 bar (43.5 psi to 72.5 psi).
The main components are two counter rotating gear wheels
which mesh with each other when rotating, whereby fuel is
trapped in the chambers formed between the gearwheels and is
transported to the outlet. Due to the camshaft drive, the delivery
quantity is proportional to the engine speed. See Figure 2.
