4.2 Scope of use
Observe all of the following information on the intended use of the device and
to prevent defects to the device.
- The device must only be operated in an appropriate climate.
- To ensure adequate ventilation, place the device on a flat, horizontal surface and
do not place any objects on top of it. Do not cover any existing ventilation slots.
- Do not place any burning objects, such as lit candles, on top of the receiver.
- Do not expose the device to water droplets or water spray, and do not place
any objects filled with liquid, such as vases, on top of it. If water gets into
the unit, immediately disconnect the mains plug and inform the service
department.
- Do not operate sources of heat near the device that can additionally heat it up.
- Do not obstruct the ventilation slots with any objects.
- Use only accessories approved for the device.
- Check the power adapter and cable regularly for damage and do not use it if
it is damaged. Only use the power adapter provided.
- When removing the power supply unit from the power outlet, pull on the plug,
not the cable.
- This device is not intended to be used by people (including children) with
limited physical, sensoryormentalcapacities or lackof experienceand/or
knowledge,unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety
or they have been instructed by them as to how to use the device.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Using the baeries
- Only operate the unit using the baeries approved for this unit.
- Normal baeries must not be charged. Baeries must not be reactivated using
other means, disassembled, heated or disposed of in an open fire (explosion
hazard!).
- Clean the baery contacts and device contacts prior to inserting them.
- There is a risk of explosion if a baery is inserted incorrectly!
- Only replace baeries with the correct type of baeries and the correct model
number
- Do not expose baeries to extreme conditions. Do not place them on
radiators, or expose them to direct sunlight!
- Leaking or damaged baeries can irritate the skin. In this case use suitable
protective gloves. Clean the baery compartment with a dry cloth.
- If the device is not being used for a prolonged period, remove the baeries.
