8 Connecting the DIGIT ISIO S3
8.1 Remote control/Changing the baery
WARNING
Ensure that the baeries are kept out of the reach of children. Children could
put the baeries into their mouths and swallow them. This could result in
serious injuries. Seek medical advice immediately should this occur! Therefore
ensure that the baeries are out of reach of young children.
> Open the cover on the baery compartment on the back of the remote
control by pressing gently on the point indicated and sliding in the direction of
the arrow.
> Insert the supplied baeries, ensuring that the poles are the right way round
(indicator visible in baery compartment).
> Close the baery compartment again.
8.2 Connecting the satellite system
> Connect the LNB inputs 1 and 2 (6/7) using two separate antenna feed
cables that are set up identically to be able to use the full range of functions.
> If there is only one antenna signal available, connect this to LNB input 1 (6) on
the device.
> Also observe the section on Antenna seing in the instruction manual.
It is not possible to receive analogue TV!
> For operation with a rotating system, connect the DiSEqC motor (Level 1.2) to
LNB input 1.
8.3 Connecting to a TV
> Connect the DIGIT ISIO S3 (HDMI output 9) and the TV (HDMI input) using
an HDMI cable (included in the scope of delivery). Switch your TV set to the
corresponding HDMI input to display the signal from the DIGIT ISIO S3.
8.3.1 Sound output (electrical, digital)
> External audio amplifiers or stereo systems with digital electrical audio input can
be connected to the DIGIT ISIO S3 via the S/PDIF output jack (electrical 11).
8.4 USB port
The USB ports on the back (10) of the DIGIT ISIO S3 are used to update the
operating soware and to transfer data.
Moreover, you can play films, music or images etc. in MPEG, MP3 or JPG format from
a USB storage device.
Your device has internal WLAN, which enables wireless integration into your existing
WLAN network. However, if you wish, you can also use an external WiFi dongle for
this purpose, for instance the TechniSat ISIO USB dual-band WiFi adapter (Item No.
0005/3633) by inserting it into the USB port.
When doing so please also note the section on WiFi seings in the instruction
manual.
