Keep in mind that the outdoor transmitter only
has the optimal transmission range in open area
with no obstructions. Each obstruction between
the transmitter and the station (roof, walls, floors,
ceilings, thick trees, etc.) will effectively cut the
transmission range in half.

indoors.
