5 Installation
When starting your receiver for the first time several settings have to
be applied during quick setup. You may change them later on during
operation.
5.1 Language selection
You need to select the menu language as first step. German is
selected by default. Press OK to select your choice. The audio
languages are also selected with this setting.
5.2 Automatic channel search
The automatic channel search analyses the attached cable signal
and lists all channels it has found. The settings to change this
behavior are:
• Network: Select the correct network operator if you know it,
otherwise choose “Other”.
• Network search: Choose yes if supported by the network
operator
• Channels: Select Add or New to substitute or just add newly
found channels.
• Channel: Select which kind of channels to be reported.
• Channel numbering: Select the kind of channel numbering,
if supported by the operator.
• Search: Starts the scan after pressing the OK key.
The receiver displays all found channels during the scan. Entirely
the scan lasts between a few minutes to half an hour.
After finalizing the scan the receiver comes up with the first program.
