The Techwood cordless kettle is designed for heating water for domestic purposes. It operates as a standalone unit that can be placed on a charging base, offering convenience and portability. The kettle's primary function is to boil water quickly and efficiently, indicated by a control lamp that lights up when heating and switches off automatically once the water reaches boiling point. The cordless design allows for easy pouring and serving without being tethered to a power outlet. The appliance is intended for household use and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast establishments. It is not designed for industrial or commercial use beyond these specified environments.
Before initial use, users are instructed to place the electric charger base on a flat surface, fill the kettle with fresh water (without additives), and then place the kettle onto the base. It is crucial not to overfill the kettle, and the water level indicator should be used to ensure the correct amount. The kettle should only be connected to a properly installed safety socket. To begin heating, the power switch must be turned to the "ON" position, which will illuminate a red control lamp on the kettle, indicating that the water is heating. Once the water boils, the machine automatically switches off, and the pilot light extinguishes. After boiling, users should carefully lift the kettle and pour the water into a sink, taking care to avoid burns. It is advised not to press up the lid while pouring.
The manual highlights several important safeguards for usage. Users must always read the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. It is essential to check that the mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. The kettle should only be used for its intended purpose, and any incorrect use or improper handling may lead to damage for which the manufacturer will not be responsible. The power cord must not come into contact with hot parts of the unit. The temperature of accessible surfaces can be very high during operation, so these parts should never be touched to avoid burns. The appliance must never come into contact with flammable materials such as curtains or cloth, and the power cord and plug must not come into contact with water. The appliance is not intended to be operated by an external timer or separate remote-control system. It should always be placed on a flat surface, ensuring it is not covered and nothing is placed on it. The plug should always be removed from the wall socket when the appliance is not in use. If an extension lead is used, the entire cable must be unwound from the reel, and only CE-approved extension leads with an input power of at least 16A, 250V, 3000W should be used. Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury.
Specific warnings for kettles include: if the water is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. The lid should not be removed while the water is boiling. Only cold water should be used to fill the device, and the maximum level (MAX) should never be exceeded. If the water level reaches the minimum mark (Mini), the unit should be refilled. The appliance must always be unplugged before filling it with water. After filling, the cap must be securely in place and closed. The base and outside of the unit must not be wet; if they are, the device should be disconnected and wiped with a dry cloth. The kettle should only be used with its associated base.
Before cleaning, the appliance must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply, then allowed to cool down. The outside of the apparatus can be cleaned with a sponge or a slightly wet cloth. The inside can be cleaned with a sponge to remove limestone deposits, followed by rinsing with fresh water. The apparatus must never be plunged into water or any other liquid. Abrasive cleaners, gritting materials, metal brushes, or other cutting objects should not be used for cleaning. The calcium filter can be removed for cleaning.
For storage, ensure the unit is completely cool and dry. The cord should not be wrapped around the appliance, as this can cause damage. The appliance should be kept in a cool, dry place.
The product comes with a 24-month guarantee from the date of purchase by the consumer. To claim the guarantee, the invoice and a filled and stamped warranty plate (located on the side or bottom of the gift box) are required. Without these documents, no free replacement or repair can be carried out. During the warranty period, defects arising from materials or manufacturing are covered by free repair or replacement. Services under the guarantee do not extend the warranty period and do not grant a new guarantee. For warranty claims, the complete apparatus, in its original packing, along with proofs of purchase, should be returned to the retailer. Breakage of glass or plastic parts is not warranted. Defects on accessories or wearing parts (e.g., coals of engines, hooks, drive belts, remote control of replacement, teeth brushes of replacement, webs, etc.), as well as cleaning, maintenance, or replacement of wearing parts, are not guaranteed and are payable by the user. Any foreign intervention will void the guarantee. After the warranty period, repairs can be carried out against payment by a specialized trade or repair service.
