From left to right on each row:
- Row 1 : AM, FM
- Row 2: SW bands UP and DOWN
- Row 3: USB, LSB. Note press USB once to activate USB mode, and press
again to revert to AM. It takes 2 seconds to toggle.
- Row 4: PAGE +, PAGE- (for stored frequencies
Along the right hand side of the receiver from top to bottom:
Large square button; POWER momentary push button
Large rotary control: TUNING (for incrementing in 1Khz steps in SSB mode)
First small rotary control: FINE TUNING (for incrementing in 10Hz steps in
SSB mode)
The keypad section of the front panel has a raised surround. Adjacent to the
bottom RH corner there is a small hole for the CPU RESET function. Use a
paper-clip and hold for 3 seconds to reset.
Along the left hand side of the receiver, there are 4 connectors and 1
switch.
From top to bottom:
External antenna socket for shortwave and FM
Input attenuator switch. 3 positions top DX, middle NORM and bottom LOCAL
3.5mm stereo socket for headphones
3.5mm socket for LINE OUTPUT recording
Mini USB socket for charging the battery
