This document describes a coffee maker, providing instructions for its use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The device is designed for domestic use, specifically for brewing filter coffee.
Function Description
The coffee maker features a digital display that shows the current time and allows for programming various functions. Key functions include:
- Coffee Preparation: The primary function is to brew filter coffee. Users can select the number of cups (10-15 cups maximum) and initiate the brewing cycle.
- Delayed Start (PROG): This feature allows users to set a specific time for the coffee maker to automatically start brewing. The "PROG" icon appears on the display when this function is active.
- Pre-Infusion Mode (AROMA): This function enhances the coffee's aroma by incorporating a pre-infusion phase for the ground coffee before the main brewing cycle. The "AROMA" indicator light illuminates when this mode is active.
- Keep Warm Function: After the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker automatically activates a keep-warm function for 30 minutes, indicated by a carafe symbol on the display.
- Clock Display: The device includes a clock that displays the current time, even in standby mode. The clock can be set and reset as needed.
Important Technical Specifications
- Power Supply: The coffee maker operates on a 220V-240V electrical supply. It must be connected to an earthed wall outlet.
- Capacity: The water reservoir and carafe are designed for 10-15 cups of coffee. The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 10 spoonfuls (70g).
- Altitude Limit: The appliance is designed for indoor domestic use at altitudes below 2000m.
- Water Temperature: The device is designed to operate only with cold or warm water; hot water should not be used in the reservoirs.
- Materials: The coffee maker includes stainless steel parts, which require specific cleaning instructions. The carafe is made of glass.
Usage Features

Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning and descaling are crucial for maintaining the coffee maker's performance and longevity:
- General Cleaning:
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Do not clean the appliance while it is hot.
- Clean the coffee maker with a damp, soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive or strong cleaning products.
- For stainless steel parts, use a soft cloth or sponge moistened with hot water, then wipe dry.
- For stubborn stains, use a cloth dampened with white vinegar.
- Never immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid, and do not place it under running water.
- The removable filter holder should be washed with hot soapy water. Do not put any parts of the coffee maker in the dishwasher.
- Discard used coffee grounds and paper filters after each use.
- Descaling:
- Descaling is necessary when brewing cycles lengthen, excessive steam is produced, loud noises occur at the end of a cycle, or the cycle stops prematurely.
- The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage, typically once a month.
- To descale, use a descaling solution or a mixture of 0.5L white vinegar diluted in 0.5L cold or warm water.
- Pour the solution into the water tank (C). Do not add coffee to the filter.
- Start the descaling cycle by pressing the ON/OFF (J) button.
- Wait for the cycle to complete.
- Rinse the machine by running two full 10-cup cycles with water only (no coffee). Repeat if necessary.
- The warranty does not cover malfunctions caused by a lack of descaling.
