3.1.1 8xchE1/chT1 LM
Overview
The 8 xchE1/chT1 LM provides 8 physical E1/T1 interfaces with HDB3/B8ZS line coding and
supports numerous layer 2 and 3 protoco ls needed on the edge of the data network to adap t v arious
TDM, cell and packet based services to the IP/MPLS.
• E1 mode
• Each interface supp orts unframed and framed P12s [G.704], [G.70 6] modes
• G.826 performanc e monitoring
• T1 mode
• Each interface supports DS1 framed [T1.4 03] and un framed modes
• Unframed, D4 Super Frame (SF) and E xtended Super Frame (ESF) formats
• Remote line loopback
• GR-253/GR-820 performan ce monitoring

• ATM/IMA paylo ad, (ML)PPP, PPPmux, SAToP PWE3, CESoPSN PWE3, HDLC PWE3,
