Getting Started with Your TELUS SmartHome Security

 Once you receive your Welcome Letter, you will be prompted you to use the Set -
Up Wizard. This will ask you to confirm your email
 Your password will be setup at this time and you will use this to login at Web
Portal: telus.com/smarthomelogin

 Enable smart schedules, event-triggered rules or scheduled automation so that
you are getting the most out of your Smart Home system
 Examples of automation devices: cameras, smart thermostats, smart door

 Configure rules on Web Portal > Automation > + Add New Rule

Getting Started (Initial Setup):

Before you begin using the system, your technician will generate and send you a Welcome Letter via email during the installation process. This letter contains crucial information for setting up your account.

Mobile Device Setup Guide:

The TELUS SmartHome App is your primary interface for managing the system from your mobile device.

1. Download the Free TELUS SmartHome App:

   • Locate and download the TELUS SmartHome App from your device's app store.
   • Once downloaded, open your Welcome Letter. This letter will guide you through the process of creating your login credentials for the app.

2. Arming Reminder by a Set Time:

   • Function: This feature sends you a daily reminder if you have not armed your system by a specific time. By default, this reminder is sent via email.
   • Adjustment: To change the reminder time, navigate to: Menu > Notifications > Arming Reminder > Enter New Time > Save.
   • Push Notifications: For an alternative reminder method, you can receive push notifications on your mobile device.
     • To enable: Menu > Notifications > Toggle On Push Notifications > Arming Reminder > Recipients.
     • From the recipients list, Remove Your Email and then +Add Recipients.
     • Select Push device > Close > Save.

3. Arming Reminder by Your Phone's Location (Geo-Services):

   • Function: This feature provides an arming reminder when your phone is more than 3 kilometers away from your home, leveraging your phone's location services.
   • Enablement: To activate this feature: Menu > Geo-Services > Toggle to ON.
   • Then, configure the notification: Menu > Notifications > Arming Reminder > Select When People Cross a Geo-Fence > Select Your Device > Save.

Web Setup Guide:

The TELUS SmartHome web portal offers a comprehensive interface for managing your system from a computer.

1. Verifying Your Email:

   • Upon receiving your Welcome Letter, you will be prompted to use the Set-Up Wizard. This wizard will guide you through confirming your email address.
   • During this process, you will set up your password, which you will use to log in to the Web Portal at telus.com/smarthomelogin.

2. Create SMS/Push Contacts:

   • Function: This allows you to receive real-time alerts and notifications directly to your mobile devices via SMS messages or push notifications.
   • SMS Notifications:
     • Log in to the Web Portal.
     • Navigate to Users > +ADD Mobile Number > Save.
     • Enter your mobile number to enable SMS alerts.

Arming Your System:

1. Accessing Arming Options: On the panel's main screen, touch the icon in the center to access the arming options.
2. Sensor Status: The panel displays the status of various sensors:
   • Open: Indicates a sensor (e.g., door, window) is open.
   • Closed: Indicates a sensor is closed.
   • Motion Active: Indicates motion has been detected.
   • Idle: Indicates no activity from the sensor.
