above) and with the vehicle still running,
press “Enter”: the word “CHAr” will
appear on the display.
- Press “Enter” to conrm and increase
the engine speed to 1200 ÷ 1500 rpm
and read the voltage recorded by the
tester while the vehicle is running:
A. If voltage is between 13.4V and
14.6V, the GREEN LED will light up:
the charging system is OK.
B. If voltage is over 14.6V, the RED LED
will light up: the charge voltage is too
high, check the voltage regulator.
C. If voltage is under 13.4V, the YELLOW
LED will light up: the charge voltage
is too low, check the connections,
wiring and the alternator.
- Now connect all the vehicle’s electrical
loads: e.g. air conditioning, lights,
heated rear window etc…
- Check the voltage value on the tester
display, using the short glossary
provided in the paragraphs above.
- Turn the engine off and disconnect the
clamps from its battery.
ERROR MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY
- “HI” appears on the display:
the no-load battery voltage is over
15V which is too high for a nominal
12V battery. Check the battery’s rated
voltage.
- The battery voltage does NOT appear
on the display:
the no-load battery voltage is too
low (under 1.5V) or the clamps are
connected to the wrong battery
terminals.
- “----” appears on the display:
voltage is unstable. Disconnect the
tester from the battery, wait for 15÷30
minutes then repeat the test.

ATTENZIONE:
Prima di usare il dispositivo leggere
attentamente tutte le istruzioni.
1. SICUREZZA GENERALE PER L’USO
DI QUESTO DISPOSITIVO
- Durante la carica le batterie emanano
gas esplosivi, evitate che si formino
amme e scintille. NON FUMARE.
- Prima di eseguire il test posizionare le
batterie in un luogo areato.
- Per non danneggiare l’elettronica dei
veicoli, leggere, conservare, rispettare
scrupolosamente le avvertenze fornite
dai costruttori dei veicoli stessi; lo
stesso vale per le indicazioni fornite dal
costruttore di batterie.
- NON ESPORRE A PIOGGIA O NEVE.
- Tenere lontano dalla portata dei
bambini.
- Proteggere gli occhi. Indossare sempre
occhiali protettivi quando si lavora con
accumulatori al piombo acido.
- Evitare il contatto con l’acido della
batteria. Nel caso si venga schizzati
o si venga a contatto con l’acido,
risciacquare immediatamente la parte
interessata con acqua pulita. Continuare
a risciacquare no all’arrivo del medico.
- È importante collegare i cavi alle corrette
polarità. Collegare la pinza rossa (+) al
morsetto positivo della batteria, e la
pinza nera (-) alla massa negativa.
- Usare questo dispositivo in aree ben
ventilate.
- Impedire alle pinze nere e rosse di
venire in contatto quando sono collegate
