Why my Temp-Cool TC-60B unit does not run?
    • R
      Robin FuentesAug 6, 2025
If your Temp-Cool Thermostat is not running, start by checking the external power supply and reset the LCDI cord control. Inspect the circuit breakers and fuses, replacing or resetting them if needed. Also, verify that the condensate tank is not full, and empty it if it is. Ensure the thermostat is set correctly, comparing the mode and temperature setpoint to the room temperature, and reset if necessary. Check the thermostat display and test its responsiveness by pressing the power and mode switches; replace the thermostat if it doesn't respond. Finally, address any error codes displayed, such as rE, FE, CF, Fr, or tF, by repairing or replacing the indicated sensor or component, checking for compressor problems, or emptying the condensate tank.

    How to fix a noisy Temp-Cool TC-60B?
    • B
      brendarochaAug 21, 2025
If your Temp-Cool Thermostat is operating noisily, check the compressor rotation, changing it if necessary. Inspect all panels and components to ensure they are securely fastened, including motors, blower wheels, drives, bearings, and shafts, tightening as needed. If the noise persists, the motor, compressor, or bearing may be faulty and require replacement.

What to do if Temp-Cool Thermostat is leaking water?
    • B
      Billy HarperAug 27, 2025
If you notice water leaking from the pan of your Temp-Cool Thermostat, start by checking the connections of the evaporator, drain, or condensate pump hose and tighten them if necessary. Inspect the drain pan for any blockages and remove any obstructions. If the drain pan itself is leaking, repair or replace it. Also, examine the condensate pump for defects, check the condensate hose for obstructions, and ensure the discharge tube height is not excessive (12 ft. max.). Clear or reroute the tube as required, and if necessary, replace the pump and its wiring.

Why does Temp-Cool TC-60B evaporator coil keep freezing?
    • D
      Dr. Daniel FranklinAug 31, 2025
If the evaporator coil in your Temp-Cool Thermostat is freezing and the unit shuts down, first check for any obstructions to the evaporator airflow and clean the filter and coil if needed. Also, ensure that the freeze sensor is properly mounted to the coil to allow the thermostat's freeze protection to function correctly.

What to do if Temp-Cool TC-60B Thermostat compressor runs but condenser fan doesn't?
    • K
      karencrawfordNov 10, 2025
If your Temp-Cool Thermostat's compressor runs but the condenser fan doesn't, and you're experiencing insufficient cooling, first trace and repair any loose or defective wires. Then, replace any shorted or open condenser motor capacitor. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the motor may be bad and require replacement. Additionally, check for insufficient airflow through the evaporator coil, which may be due to improper blower rotation, a dirty air filter or evaporator coil, an obstructed air intake, ice on the evaporator coil, or low refrigerant. Correct these issues by checking the rotation, replacing the filter, cleaning the coil, removing any obstructions, defrosting the coil, or repairing any leaks and recharging the refrigerant. Lastly, ensure the unit is properly sized for the lo...

Why is my Temp-Cool Thermostat evaporator fan running but not the compressor?
    • O
      Oscar PaceNov 16, 2025
If your Temp-Cool Thermostat's evaporator fan runs, but the compressor and condenser fan do not, it could be due to several reasons. The evaporator fan runs anytime the thermostat is on, the compressor and condenser only run if there is a demand for cooling. Ensure the thermostat is calling for cooling and wait at least five minutes for the compressor to start, as it might be in a start delay mode. Verify that the thermostat is set to the 'COOL' mode. Check that the condensate jumper plug or condensate pump is properly installed. Also, check the high-pressure switch, and press the reset button, replacing the switch if necessary. Inspect for loose or defective wires, securing contacts or replacing wires as needed. Replace a shorted or open run capacitor. If none of these resolve the issue, ...
